Completing the desktop updates of the day, Apple announces new Macs Pro

New Mac Pro asideFollowing up on the news announced today (iMacs and Macs mini) and confirming recent rumors, Apple has just renewed the entire line of desktops featuring the new Macs Pro.

The new generation is based on Intel Nehalem Xeon processors, with the purpose of delivering twice the previous performance, with an initial price of US $ 300 less than before.

It also meets the Energy Star 4.0 environmental requirements and is already part of the Apple product group that pioneered the adoption of the new Energy Star 5.0 standard, which will start to take effect later this year. The Mac Pro housing is made of highly recyclable aluminum and its interior is designed to use materials in a super efficient way. The machine uses PVC-free internal cables and components that do not use brominated flame retardants. The new Mac Pro also wins EPEAT Gold.
