Competition for RNG in the northern region on the march

The contest that will allow finding projects to support the development of high speed broadband infrastructures in the northern region is underway. Today, the announcement that advances the procedure was published in Diário da República.

Entities interested in submitting proposals may do so until the 26th of August, detailing their proposals for the installation, management, operation and maintenance of high-speed electronic communications networks.

As in the tenders already launched for the central region, Algarve and Alentejo, candidates must submit proposals to provide services with a speed higher than 30 Mbps, through an infrastructure of open access to other operators, to be able to receive the co-financing.

Within the scope of the various tenders announced, procedures still need to be launched in relation to the autonomous regions of the Azores and Madeira.

In total, 140 municipalities across the country will be covered by the procedures.
