Codes for a new iMac Retina (21.5 ″) and a Bluetooth remote control are found on OS X 10.11 El Capitan

Whenever a new Apple operating system is released, some interesting news can be found “simply” by scanning the codes. Because this has just happened with the second beta version of OS X 10.11 El Capitan, released to developers this week.

References to a new iMac Retina

As the 9to5Mac, the above codes are most likely related to a new 21.5-inch iMac with Retina display. Currently, no Apple machine has the 4096 × 2304 pixel resolution option found in the codes. Taking into account that the 27 ″ Retina iMac has a 5K screen, this new 21.5 could very well have these 4K. It is worth noting that this reference does not appear in any previous second beta version of OS X 10.11 El Capitan.

In addition to the resolution, references were also found to Intel's new graphics processor (Iris Pro 6200), launched in early June along with the new “Broadwell” processors that could very well equip this new iMac. To finalize the news related to a possible new desktop computer from Apple, there are also references to graphics processors AMD Radeon R9 (M380, M390, M395 and M395X), which may indicate new Macs or even upgrade options for this supposed 21-inch iMac , 5 ″ with Retina 4K screen.

References to a new Bluetooth remote control

Macs aside, a clear reference was also found to a new Bluetooth remote control, which could very well be the ideal companion for a new Apple TV.

Within this file there is information that the control has a dedicated Bluetooth chip, it can connect to devices through an infrared sensor (used by the current Apple remote control), it has a Multi-Touch trackpad with inertial scroll support, it brings possible references to Force Touch technology (although not clearly) and audio support (which indicates an integration with Siri).

Like the iMac references, this file did not exist in older versions of the desktop operating system, not even in the beta version of OS X 10.10.4 that is still in the testing phase.
