Code found on iOS indicates that Apple is already experimenting with Li-Fi technology

Many of you probably have never even heard of Li-Fi (Light Fidelity), but this technology that may succeed the well-known and established Wi-Fi apparently already being tested by Apple.

Who discovered it was the hacker Chase Fromm, searching iOS internal codes:

According to him, references to Li-Fi capabilities in Apple's mobile operating system could mean that the iPhone 7 would have a chance to come equipped with the technology, although it is still in an embryonic stage.

As its name already indicates, Li-Fi makes use of light (visible, even) to transmit data with an absurdly higher speed than Wi-Fi (which depends on radio frequency). Tests indicate that Li-Fi can reach 224Gbps (!), That is, about 100x faster than Wi-Fi.

Let's hope that this becomes a reality quickly. 😀
