Little by little, the TV app (launched here in Brazil along with iOS 11.3 and tvOS 11.3) is gaining new partner services to offer even more options of programs, shows, films and series to users. Last month, we commented that the content of the Claro video, Red Bull TV and Garage apps started to be integrated; now fans of classic films will love the novelty: the Classix.
In case you don’t know Classix, it is an application with a catalog of films and TV shows that range from “classic horror to timeless dramas”. The app also has content for children – that is, perfect for the whole family. In addition, it builds a referral profile according to the content you watch; therefore, the more you watch, the better the app will know and recommend content you might like.
The integration with the TV app allows the titles available in Classix to be played directly in the Apple solution (either on iPhones, iPads, iPods touch or Apple TVs). In addition, Classix is also integrated with Siri, making the search for films and programs even more enhanced.
As not everything is flowers, the application has some negative points, among them the lack of dubbed titles or even with subtitles in Portuguese, some performance bugs (titles that end or do not reproduce correctly) and, subjectively speaking, his design not the best there – despite the subtle resemblance to the Netflix app.
Apart from these points, Classix has everything to be a great application, since the most classic titles are not highlights among the biggest services of streaming at our disposal. The app is available for iOS and tvOS and has an internal purchase (R $ 10) to free access to all available titles.
Version 1.6 (917.5 KB) Requires iOS 10.2 or superior
