ClamBook is a new “laptop” controlled by Android smartphones or, in a way, also by iPhones

The last time we talked about ClamCase here on the site was in November last year, when it got a white version for iPad 2. Now, the guys are coming up with a different product.

Here is the ClamBook:

ClamBook, by ClamCase

The ClamBook is a kind of super portable laptop, with the difference being controlled by Android smartphones and, supposedly, also by iPhones. The difference is that the limitations imposed by Apple prevent it from integrating as well as it does in Google's mobile operating system. The multi-touch trackpad, for example, would be of no use.

Speaking specifically of the ClamBook with iPhones, which interests us, the product ends up functioning as a mirrored iPhone screen (widescreen, 16: 9), offering a Bluetooth keyboard and more powerful speakers for it. Not very encouraging, after all.

The ClamBook is not yet priced, but more information should be released in the coming months.
