Chrome has complicated relations with Google, says Mozilla

firefoxchromeJohn Lilly, Mozilla’s CEO, admitted today that relations with Google became more complicated after the company decided to launch its own browser, Google Chrome.

“We have a good relationship with the company. But I would be lying if I said that things are no longer complicated today, ”said John Lilly, in an interview last week.

Lilly admits that Mozilla is in a strange position as it has to cooperate and compete with its big financiers. “We collaborate with Google, we talk to them and we have a very good relationship. But we have a competition for the user’s choice ”.

Have you ever wondered if Microsoft takes advantage of a possible malaise between Google and Mozilla and invests money to have Live Search as the default search in Firefox? Nowadays it doesn’t seem so impossible to happen.
