John Lilly, Mozilla’s CEO, admitted today that relations with Google became more complicated after the company decided to launch its own browser, Google Chrome.
“We have a good relationship with the company. But I would be lying if I said that things are no longer complicated today, ”said John Lilly, in an interview last week.
Lilly admits that Mozilla is in a strange position as it has to cooperate and compete with its big financiers. “We collaborate with Google, we talk to them and we have a very good relationship. But we have a competition for the user’s choice ”.
Have you ever wondered if Microsoft takes advantage of a possible malaise between Google and Mozilla and invests money to have Live Search as the default search in Firefox? Nowadays it doesn’t seem so impossible to happen.
