Google has announced that Chrome will start automatically blocking the most annoying ads on the internet starting February 15th.
While there is no new version of Chrome scheduled on this date, Google will probably enable ad blocker remotely through its servers.
Among the ads that will disappear from the web are those that reproduce sound, were you waiting several seconds before the page loads and those that interrupt the browsing experience.
Chrome will only release those ads whose standards have been set by the Coalition for Better Ads – an initiative that includes companies like Facebook, Microsoft, and various agencies.
Will this be enough for users to stop using ad blockers?
