Chinese newspaper says nearly 50% of all-in-one desktops sold in 2009 will be iMacs

Even with Apple notebooks having the greatest sales success and being much closer to future Mac users than desktops, at least one of the company's offerings in this line have a successful year, according to Commercial Times. The Chinese newspaper claims that the iMac accounts for almost 50% of machine sales all-in-one until the end of 2009.

Analysts are overestimating the performance of this sector, betting heavily on it for the second half. In fact, all-in-one machines are a good choice for any consumer, as they do not require much space and are easy to set up for immediate use. In addition to Apple, HP is one of the companies that has interesting offers in this sector, serving the Windows world.

6.5 million units are expected all-in-one sold in 2009. Of these, 3 million should be iMacs, which today have configurations much cheaper than before, in addition to being prominent computers in the category. However, analysts predict a 100% increase in sales in the sector for 2010, reaching 12% of the entire PC market in 2012.
