The original view was from Apple. Lenovo even promised, but ended up being a laughing stock. Now, the Chinese Live it became the first smartphone manufacturer in the world to present a truly borderless (or almost so) device with no clipping, basically placing a floating screen in the hands of users.
This is the Vivo NEX!

When I say he is almost borderless, I mean, of course, the discreet “chin” on the bottom of the device – which, by the way, is the rule on all smartphones called “borderless” in the Android world, with notch or not. That’s because Apple is the only company that “folds” the screen to place its drivers hidden behind it, instead of reserving a space at the bottom for them. Still, you can’t say that the NEX’s “chin” takes away its power to impress.
To overcome the physical limitations of the design, Vivo has some curious cards up its sleeve. The call speaker is built into the screen itself, using a technology called Screen SoundCasting – which makes sounds vibrate through the glass and, according to the manufacturer, make the sound quality even better than that of a traditional model. The digital reader, in turn, is also embedded in the screen – Vivo itself was the pioneer in this regard when presenting a model with technology at the beginning of the year.
The camera selfie, in turn, is ingenious: the 8 megapixel piece is hidden in a retractable, motorized compartment, which automatically rises and falls when the camera application opens; the movement lasts less than a second – that is, basically the software startup time. The question remains about the component’s durability, but that the idea is good (and cute), it is.

In addition, Vivo NEX is a state-of-the-art smartphone with character specifications. The infamous Super AMOLED screen is 6.59 inches and has a screen-to-body ratio of 91.24% – the highest rate ever seen on a smartphone. The processor is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, coupled with an Adreno 630 graphics chip, and we have 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, 4,000mAh battery and a dual camera module at the rear, with a 12 and a 5 megapixel component . Ah, we also have an outlet for headphones, to bury that little bit of “we needed space” a little more!
There is also a slightly more “modest” version, with the same design and screen but with a Snapdragon 710 processor, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The two have already left the factory running Android 8.1 “Oreo” with the modification layer Funtouch, from Vivo.

Vivo NEX against iPhone X.
Which has less edges for you?
If someone is encouraged, it is good to take the horse out of the rain or start saving for a ticket to China: Vivo NEX will only be sold there, and will cost 4,998 yuan (about R $ 2,900) in its most expensive version; it will hit eastern stores in the coming months.
Well, at least it could be the beginning of a new trend … did you enjoy it?
