Presented at the end of February, the MSI X-Slim X340 has already reached the hands of Chinese UMPC Fever (translated via Google), who did the job of dissecting it, as well as the guys from iFixit.

Compared to the MacBook Air (other photos here, in a gallery of AnandTech), the machine does not bring any big surprise in its guts, but you can see that it does not offer space for 3G upgrade (HSDPA), unless the person removes the built-in Wi-Fi (Intel WiFi Link 5100) to free up a slot PCI-E.

The MSI X-Slim X340 motherboard occupies a third of the entire machine, along with a 320GB Western Digital Scorpio Blue hard drive. As expected, there is little room for upgrades, since most components are welded, aiming at saving internal space.
Still, you can see how much uglier he is than the Apple bug.
