Check out a chart that separates Apple's revenue sources by product

The first iPhone hit the market in mid-2007, just over three years ago. From then on, he and the iPad (another newcomer to Apple) grabbed around 60% of Ma's revenue, as the numbers presented yesterday make clear and the graph below, made by asymco, illustrates well:

This makes us think:

  • The graph above shows periodic peaks at Christmas (Q4); how will this year be?
  • Typically, this peak is represented by a dramatic increase in sales of iPods (the favorite Christmas present for the crowd); will the iPad steal the show in 2010?
  • Mac revenue has remained more or less constant for five years; does the iPad pose a threat to him?
