The company announced at the fair the TBT3-UDZ, its new Thunderbolt 3 dock with no fewer than 14 (!) ports for all tastes and needs. Here we have two DisplayPort 1.4 ports, two HDMI 2.0, one Ethernet (1Gbps), seven USB-A (two at the front with support for fast loading of mobile devices), an audio output and readers for SD and microSD cards.
The device also has other notable points: equipped with Intel's Titan Ride controller, it is one of the only in the category capable of connecting the Mac (or PC) to two 4K 60Hz monitors, most of which are limited to 30Hz, or just one monitor at 60Hz. In addition, its Thunderbolt port is capable of providing up to 100W of power, capable of recharging up to the 16-inch MacBook Pro at full speed. TBT3-UDZ has a suggested price of $ 300 and be launched at the end of the first semester.
Plugable will also launch, in the same period, two simpler accessories: one of them is a USB-C adapter with two HDMI ports ($ 40) to connect the computer to two 4K 60Hz monitors. The second one USB to Ethernet adapter ($ 50), capable of receiving / sending transfers of up to 2.5Gbps; it has a USB-C and a USB-A connector in the same package.
Linedock
Linedock, in turn, updated its docking station for MacBook Pro with a new model specially dedicated to 16 inches the computer. Here we have that shape already known, thought to be "fitted" on the bottom of the machine (finished in space gray aluminum); the connection made through one of its Thunderbolt ports.
The dock has three USB-C ports, three USB-A ports, two HDMI ports and two UHS-II type inputs for memory cards. We also have a battery capable of fully recharging the MacBook, from scratch, and built-in SSD storage that is easily replaceable by the user, it is worth noting.
Linedock will also sell a 15-inch version of the MacBook Pro dock, the model may have already been out of line, but interest in such an accessory is obviously still high among its more advanced users.
