CES 2019: new locks integrated with HomeKit are presented

Continuing with the coverage of the most exciting news of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2019, we came to a category that is still not much explored by most Brazilians but that is a real hand in the circle: smart locks, integrated HomeKit. Let's take a look at them.

Assa Abloy

Two subsidiaries of the company presented news. THE August now has the Emtek EMPowered Smart Lock, a smart lock with a double lock. The device integrates August's cloud technology and has a dedicated app for iOS and Android, by which you can remotely lock or unlock the door, change settings, share virtual keys with family or visitors and more.

There are two models: $ 370 it does not have its own interface, requiring the use of a smartphone (or a key) to open the door. The of $ 440 adds a touch-sensitive numeric keypad for you to unlock the lock with a previously configured numeric code. Both models will be available in April and February, respectively.

THE Yale, in turn, presented the Assure Never Lock, dedicated to internal doors and / or without bolt.

They also connect to August's ecosystem and can even integrate with the company's alarm systems to indicate possible break-ins. They are models between US $ 150 and US $ 300, with physical or touch sensitive buttons and in three finishes.

Kwikset

The manufacturer of smart locks has launched a new version of its line Premis, now with a more modern design that integrates more easily with any type of decoration.

The locks integrate with HomeKit and can be part of the scenes of the app (for example, when saying "I'm at home" the door will automatically unlock next to the actions of other devices). The user can unlock the doors through the app or through Siri (or by the code on the door or the key, of course). The new Premis will reach the market until the summer of the northern hemisphere, for prices not yet revealed.

Kwikset also presented the new locks Halo, which connect to Wi-Fi without the need for additional devices (but do not have HomeKit integration yet), for example $ 200 (traditional keyboard) and $ 230 (touch-sensitive keyboard). J the line Aura more modest, with Bluetooth connection, and leaves $ 150. All models will be available in the second half.

Mighton

Mighton, for its part, has an option for doors with two locks: the Avia it does not bring a keyboard for numeric codes, but it replaces the traditional key with a contact unlocking device (such as a hotel magnetic card) and integration with HomeKit.

Avia will hit the market in May 2019, but Mighton has yet to reveal its price.
