CES 2019: Griffin launches new accessories, such as wireless chargers for iPhones and Apple Watches

After competitor Belkin, Griffin who just announced a wave of new accessories for Apple gadgets at Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2019. Here they are:

Chargers

To start, we have one more example of a product that has won several versions from different manufacturers lately: o PowerBlock Wireless Fast Charging Pad with Apple Watch Dock (phew) a wireless charger with spaces for the iPhone (or any other compatible smartphone) and for the Apple Watch.

It is compatible with Apple's 7.5W fast wireless charging capability and has a cable storage system on its underside. The accessory will be launched this quarter with a wall charger, for $ 80, and it also has an alternative version without space for the Apple Watch that costs $ 60.

O PowerBlock Wireless Charging Stand / Mat, in turn, brings a hybrid design that can leave the smartphone standing or lying down depending on the situation. It does not bring fast loading, but at least cheaper: $ 40, with availability scheduled for the second quarter.

Finally, we have the Reserve Wireless Charging Power Bank, an external battery with a capacity of 5,000mAh and a built-in wireless charging surface for any device that supports the Qi protocol. It also has a USB-A port (10W) for devices without the benefit, $ 35 when it is released sometime this quarter.

Cables

Like Belkin, Griffin also started out by introducing some of the first USB-C cables for Lightning with MFi certified available on the market. There are three models: two 1.2m (common) (plastic) versions ($ 20) and 1.8m ($ 30), and a version “Premium” 1.5m ($ 35) with aluminum design and braided fiber cable.

Cases

THE Incipio, Griffin's company, also has a very interesting novelty in the new line of cases for iPhones Aerolite. The covers are made with a new material called FortiCore that, according to the manufacturer, reduces the force of impacts by up to 40% compared to traditional materials.

According to Incipio, the case protects the iPhone from drops of up to 3.3m. They will be available in March for $ 40 in versions for the iPhones X, XS, XS Max and XR, in various colors.
