AirBar on MacBook Air

CES 2017: AirBar makes the MacBook Air’s 13.3 ″ touchscreen

Apple does not and says with all the letters that it does not intend to make a Mac with touchscreen. For that, she created the iPad.

This company’s strategy, however, does not please everyone. And many may prefer to stay on the Mac instead of moving to a competing solution like the Surface of Life. For these, Neonode created the AirBar – which is being launched in a 13.3 ″ version for MacBooks Air at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2017, in Las Vegas.

The product is a metal bar that you place below the MacBook Air screen and then connect to a USB port. And so, like magic, the laptop screen becomes touch sensitive.

Obviously, whoever chooses this solution will have to face the experience of using an operating system (macOS) with their fingers that was not originally designed for that. Still, there may be those who like it.

AirBar for MacBook Air – will understand why they chose it, not the 12-inch MacBook or MacBooks Pro (but this is only Neonode’s first model for the Apple line) – will hit the international market in March, costing $ 100 .
