CBS television CEO implies that Apple is really working on a streaming service [atualizado]

We’ve followed several rumors about streaming of videos to the Apple TV [1, 2, 3], but it was only today, in an interview at the Code Conference, that we had a supposed “confirmation” of his existence.

Sabbathed by reporter Kara Swisher, the CEO of the CBS television network Les Moonves said his company "probably" signed an agreement to be part of this new Apple project.

“We are very excited about this,” commented Moonves, saying he even met with Eddy Cue, senior vice president of software and internet services at Apple, who also handles these media negotiations just last week. "Apple TV is trying to change the universe."

CBS does seem to be well aware of the changes that have occurred in the way we consume television content, although in 2012 we followed a story that Moonves himself rejected this idea when brought up by the late Steve Jobs. Recently, the CBS Sports channel reached Apple TV including for Brazilian users.
