According to sources DigiTimes, the environmental problems that caused Catcher Technology (a manufacturer of unibody for MacBooks) suspending its activities should not affect Apple's holiday sales, contrary to expectations. The only thing missing for the company to return to activity is the approval of odor elimination equipment.
Another indicator that Mac sales are unlikely to be affected is the expectation of an increase in Qanta shipments attributed mainly to MacBooks Pro. Strategic component management would also be helping Apple to circumvent the HDD shortage caused by the floods in Thailand recently.
