Case that Apple should pay $ 533 million for patent infringement will be reevaluated

Earlier this year we reported that Apple was ordered to pay $ 532.9 million Smartflash LLC for violating three patents related to iTunes software. This week we had a turnaround in the case.

According to the Reuters, Judge Rodney Gilstrap said that the instructions passed on to the jury may, in some way, have distorted the assessment of the amount that Apple should pay Smartflash.

Because of this, a new trial just to assess how much Apple will actually have to disburse on September 14.
