Cabify has just released a security button, a new feature that promises to help the user in emergency situations during races. When touched, the SOS cone calls 911 and activates the local police authorities, without the passenger having to perform all this procedure manually. The novelty arrives for all nine cities where Cabify operates: Rio de Janeiro, So Paulo, Porto Alegre, Curitiba, Belo Horizonte, Santos, Campinas, Braslia and Canoas.
The functionality has been available since Monday (22), both in the iPhone (iOS) and Android applications. The button was positioned in the upper right corner on both systems, making it easy to locate, especially for those using the two platforms. Step 1. The procedure for ordering the race on Cabify remains the same. After entering the origin and destination, check the value of the route and, if you agree, press the "Pea now" button. While the app is looking for drivers or a driver has not yet accepted the trip, the security button is omitted;

Step 2. The SOS button appears as soon as the driver accepts the race, even if he is still on his way to the starting place, and is available throughout the race. Touch it if your safety or that of the driver is at risk;

Step 3. The security button will immediately open the dialer with the police phone number already entered, preventing you from having to perform this procedure in a high stress situation. Just press the button corresponding to the "Send" on your device and complete the call to the 190. Use the resource responsibly, being careful not to trigger authorities unnecessarily.
