Bug in OS X Mountain Lion could be another indication that we will soon have MacBooks with Retina screens

The new cursors in Mac OS X 10.7.3 had already corroborated a mid-December rumor, but the Ars Technica now brought another indication that Apple may be preparing to launch MacBooks (Air / Pro) with Retina screens.

Bug in ML Retina

The window above is a Message notification running on the second test version of OS X Mountain Lion, and as you can see it has an error the call icon is too big, being cut in the window. The bug also appears in other areas of the system.

For them, the presence of these images in higher resolution is a strong indication of the imminent arrival of MacBooks with Retina screens which, unlike iPads and iPhones / iPods touch, will not necessarily have to double or even quadruple their resolutions, since the distance with which we work more and there is no need for such a high pixel density for the classification to be valid.

I don't think this year will pass.
