On a day of locking and unlocking the Whatsapp in Brazil, a good tip. 🙂 As you know, WhatsApp Web became compatible with iPhones a few months ago. Shortly thereafter, we gave you a hint on how to access it via iPads only through a “gambiarra”.
Because, recently, a Brazilian Henrique Velloso, Flockr and Trap Rider decided to launch an app that improves the entire experience of using WhatsApp Web on the iPad. We took a while to talk about him here because he still wasn't very nice, but he got his version 1.4 this week and now we can recommend him.

How Messenger for WhatsApp, you can connect your iPad to the iPhone and use the communicator's web interface on the tablet. Besides not requiring all that process to make it work through Safari, it is in a cute icon on your Home Screen and comes with some improvements such as smooth scrolling, viewing and downloading photos / videos, possibility to attach files and use the camera for sending photos, and the best: alert of new messages with notifications!
What it still lacks, basically, download and playback of audio, as well as the possibility of using the microphone of the iPad to send audio. In addition, as the app explores and modifies the WhatsApp Web code, sometimes modifications made by Facebook need to be corrected by Henrique so that everything continues to work properly. Most of these fixes, fortunately, can be done remotely without the need for the app itself to be updated.
Obviously, we are talking about the end of a web view so do not expect him to perform the performance of a native app for iOS, as the competitor Telegram Messenger for example offers. However, for those who like it, prefer or depend on WhatsApp and would like to be able to use it on the iPad, the solution created by Henrique excellent. No wonder it already counts thousands and thousands of downloads worldwide, reaching the top of the most downloaded apps in 56 stores. 😉
