Launched in early December 2009, the Boxee Beta software was finally officially made available for download today, after having leaked on the web in preliminary version.
The update brings a new interface, improved features and other diverse improvements, such as a bookmarklet quick access to any video in the media center queue.
Boxee is free and available in versions for Mac OS X, Windows and Linux (including Ubuntu 64 bits). The forecast is that the final and complete version 1.0 will be available until CES 2011 yes, in a year.
This week, D-Link launched the Boxee Box at CES 2010, and soon after we saw the presentation of the new remote control of the set-top box competitor of Apple TV.
