Body found in conference room on Apple campus; police are investigating [atualizado 3x]

A Santa Clara County police spokeswoman recently confirmed that the victim was a man of Hispanic origin who was, in fact, Apple employee. According to the statement, what happened was an isolated incident and there is no danger to the other employees and patrons of the site, the campus remains open and functioning normally.

It is not yet clear whether the report of the woman withdrawn from campus with a head injury is factual, but apparently it is false information.

Apple finally commented on the case but very vaguely. Ma Kristin Huguet's spokeswoman stated:

We are all heartbroken by the tragic loss of a young and talented colleague. Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to his family and friends, including the many who worked with him here at Apple. We are working to help you in any way we can at this difficult time.

There was no mention of the boy's identity, it is even reported that almost no one on the campus knew who died, although the company gave its employees the option of taking the rest of the day off.

It was also confirmed that no one else was injured in the case, dismissing the woman's story with a head injury.

THE Reuters disclosed the identity of the victim. Its about Edward Mackowiak, 25, and according to his LinkedIn page (already deleted), was a software engineer. It was also confirmed by the Santa Clara County coroner that the cause of death was suicide.
