Presented at NAB 2011, in April, UltraStudio 3D is a new device for capturing and reproducing videos in various formats (SDI, HDMI and analogue), but its main highlight is the Thunderbolt interface.
The manufacturer Blackmagic Design recently demonstrated the product connected to a 17-inch MacBook Pro. See the video of the Japanese site MAC:
The set also includes a Promise R6 Pegasus RAID and a Video-422 deck controller.
A rumor three days ago points to the arrival of the Final Cut Pro X Mac App Store next week, along with several new accessories with Thunderbolt. This more or less coincides with the UltraStudio 3D July availability forecast for $ 995.
