Black Friday 2018 was marked by food promotions. On Twitter, the subject was the most commented, surpassing sectors such as perfumery and beauty products, which occupy the second place, in addition to information technology and bookstores. On Google Trends, searches for food brands, especially fast food, grew up to 350% on Friday afternoon (23).
According to a survey by ReclameAQUI, with the HugMe social media monitoring tool, from 0 am to 3 pm, food companies dominated the conversations. In the top 10 companies mentioned on this Black Friday, Burger King was the most popular, with 96% of positive comments about the brand. Next is McDonald's with 87% and iFood, 72%. The peak of food conversations was recorded between 11 am and 2 pm, lunchtime at most companies.

Among the negative menes, Amazon appears in first place. In conversations about the online store, 17% of people were talking badly. ReclameAQUI published a total of 3,780 citations on Black Friday: 2,895 positive (76%) and 885 negative (24%).

Trends, a Google service that shows the volume of searches on the Internet, confirms that Black Friday 2018, in Brazil, was marked by the interest of users in eating at a discount. Searches like Black Friday Habbibs, Black Friday iFood, Pizza Hut Black Friday and Black Friday McDonalds have grown by 350% in the last four hours.
