Unicode released, last Wednesday (29), 117 new emojis that will be released in 2020. The stickers are part of the Emoji 13.0 update and should reach Android phones, iPhone (iOS) and other systems soon. Altogether, there are 62 unique drawings, including animals, such as cockroach and black cat; miscellaneous objects, such as slippers, skates and accordion; foods, such as olives and peppers, and new representations of people. The catalog will have another 55 variations of skin tone and gender.

Caring for social inclusion, the new icons also bear the flag of transgender pride, suggested by Google and Microsoft, and the figure of Santa Claus with different skin tones and genres. It is worth remembering that the Emoji 12.0 catalog, released in 2019, brought new 230 designs, several of which focus on locomotion deficiency. The deadline for the arrival of new emojis on smartphones and other online services depends on the adoption of each manufacturer. Likewise, the look of the stickers can also vary up to the final version.
