Banco EspĂrito Santo and IBM today announced an agreement to outsourcing amounting to 150 million euros for the management of the bank’s information systems infrastructure over the next 10 years, a measure that should allow savings of 25 percent.
According to a statement, the agreement provides for the outsourcing of IT infrastructures for the operations of BES, BEST, BES Açores, Tranquilidade, Tranquilidade Vida and EspĂrito Santo Seguros.
The agreement with IBM was made with the aim of making investments more flexible, promoting process rationalization and reducing costs, informs the bank.
The institution adds that the outsourcing is part of a more comprehensive program to increase the group’s global efficiency, which includes measures to rationalize the application architecture, standardization and consolidation.
