Portugal Telecom reached an agreement with Sport Lisboa e Benfica for the transmission of today’s match between Clube da Luz and Nápoles through the SAPO portal. The alliance comes at the same time that the operator also announces the transmission of the meeting on several African television channels, namely on the national stations of Angola, Cape Verde, Mozambique and São Tomé and Príncipe.
As regards the transmission online, a special website will be created for this purpose, from which the experimental version of the Benfica channel will be followed, which recently premiered the grid of PT’s Meo service.
The broadcast on the Internet will not be limited only to the Benfica – Naples meeting. After the game the channel will continue to function with the aftermath of the game, which will be commented on by journalist Carlos Daniel in partnership with several guests, including the actors of Gato Fedorento.
According to PT, the portal will also allow viewing the most important plays in video, photography and text and will allow the user to interrupt «the game, see the play that interests him most and resume the broadcast, at the moment it is being broadcast. «.
As for the transmission of the game on the national television of the PALOP, PT explains that it is «another example of Portugal Telecom’s international strategy, in which Africa plays a fundamental role».
