The Vatican is preparing to use a more effective means of contact with the 125,000 young people who this year are expected to respond to the Catholic Church’s call to participate in the 2008 edition of World Youth Days.
The meeting takes place in Sydney, Australia and during his six days the Pope will use text messages to communicate more personally with the participants, transmitting messages of «inspiration and hope» to them, guarantees the Vatican.
The technology will be present in other ways at the event that takes place in July, either through the digital prayer wall that is intended to be erected, or through the social network that is being created and will allow exchanging contacts and experiences between the participants.
