Belkin presents updated and now definitive version of the Thunderbolt Express Dock even before its arrival on the market

If you were excited about the Matrox DS-1, which we talked about just yesterday, don't forget that the Belkin he had already presented his Express Dock (1, 2) a few months ago. The good news is that the product evolved considerably before it even reached the market, and today the manufacturer has presented its final version.

Here is the Belkin Thunderbolt Express Dock:

With a compact and charming design, the dock connects to Macs (or PCs) using a single Thunderbolt port and, unlike the Matrox solution, it has another Thunderbolt on its rear for chaining (daisy-chaining) of devices. Only a strong differential.

From left to right, we have: a Gigabit Ethernet, an e-SATA port, a FireWire 800, the Thunderbolt we talked about, 3.5mm audio input and output, three USB 3.0 (!) And the outside connector. It also comes with a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter.

All of this comes at a price, however: while the Matrox DS-1 costs $ 250, the Belkin Thunderbolt Express Dock will cost $ 400 with availability for September. Don't forget to add a Thunderbolt cable to the package, which Belkin sells separately for another $ 45.
