With a 15-inch MacBook Pro drive, the AnandTech it was one of the first sites to publish a complete analysis of it, especially highlighting its non-removable battery and its autonomy. It was not enough that it was a beautiful engineering work from Apple, occupying the same space and weight as the previous one, but with a 46% greater capacity, the navigation tests and the execution of music proved that the battery life of the laptop exceeds eight hours.

O benchmark of battery life has been compared with other generations and has shown that the 2009 edition of the 15-inch MacBook Pro is the most efficient in the company's history in this regard. "The best battery life I've ever seen," says Anand Shimpi, who is responsible for the review. It is also important to remember that these results were obtained with the basic model, $ 1,700, with 4GB of memory, 250GB HDD and NVIDIA GeForce 9400M GPU, whose autonomy is declared by Apple on its website for up to seven hours.
In this test, 20 sites were loaded in sequence without any kind of rich web application (Flash, Silverlight, etc.) on a non-standard Wi-Fi connection, while a sequence of MP3 tracks was played in iTunes. A second test in this sense was performed with Flash content on the pages, and the result was a battery life of almost seven hours.
For those who like to watch TV series, the new battery also brings an excellent gain in duration. O Gizmodo did a heavier test with the new 15-inch MacBook Pro, in a situation of using Wi-Fi, medium brightness, active keyboard lighting and an H.264-encoded movie running around the clock. The result? Almost four hours of autonomy. For comparison purposes, this was the limit of the previous model.
