The future functionality is made known through a notice published on the homepage of the website managed by Banco de Portugal, which informs about the placing in public consultation of the new regulatory initiative «that reinforces the information obligations of credit institutions in the disclosure to the public of commissions and interest rates they practice when contracting products and services, commonly known as pricing «, he refers.
Under the new rules, credit institutions will now have to submit to Banco de Portugal the maximum value of all commissions charged in banking transactions, main expenses charged, reference interest rates and, further, additional information on value dates and the availability of amounts credited to deposit accounts, conventions underlying the calculation of interest and rounding.
This information will then be published online.
The price list covers the entire range of operations that integrate the activity of credit institutions, namely home and consumer loans, savings products, the use of checks and cards, the processing of transfers and direct debits and other credit services. payment.
