Ballmer finally sees Android as a competitor

ballmer_google Steve Ballmer, CEO Microsoft, which previously stated that Android did not present any business model and also despised the software for being only the first version, now observes the platform as a possible and viable competitor.

“We have focused on Apple as a competitor and Linux as a competitor. I believe that the dynamics of Linux is changing something. I assume that we will see laptops with Android and Linux in addition to cell phones. We will see Google as a competitor in operating systems like we’ve never seen before. The differences between the mobile and PC operating systems will change and we have invested in a client operating system ”

With the strong rumors that Android may actually be implemented in Netbooks and possibly conquer Microsoft’s space, Ballmer demonstrates once again that he knows the market and knows that the entry of Google is completely detrimental to his business.
