Reflecting the moment of crisis, Microsoft recorded a 32 percent decrease in its third fiscal quarter’s net profit, compared to the previous year.
The profit recorded amounted to US $ 2.98 billion (2.27 billion in euros), which compares with the 4.4 billion (3.3 billion euros) achieved between January and March 2008.
In the worst results ever, revenues fell six percent, from $ 14.45 billion (10.99 billion euros) to 13.65 (10.38 billion euros).
The quarterly results of the computer giant were also penalized by 290 million dollars with the cut of staff announced in January and another 420 million associated with investments.
