Axiotron announced yesterday the availability of the second beta version of Quickscript, its handwriting recognition software for Mac OS X. The big news since the first beta, released in late August, is full support for Snow Leopard.
The update also incorporates Chinese character recognition and persistent writing pad. In total, the system supports 26 languages, including Brazilian Portuguese.
Quickscript was created by Axiotron for use in conjunction with its Modbooks, which are nothing more than MacBooks modified in tablet format. Apple recently secured the rights to the “TabletMac” brand, created by Axiotron.
