Caregivers in the Aveiro region will be able to purchase, bookmark and deselect school meals and manage their students’ extracurricular activities from the Internet. Developed by the City Council, the portal that will host the services will be available at the beginning of the next academic year.
These are just a few examples of the features that the new site will integrate, and other services are also provided, such as the possibility of controlling students’ attendance, according to Jornal de Notícias, citing those responsible for the education of that municipality.
The initiative is part of the School Management System, approved this week, unanimously, in a chamber meeting, a program that also provides for the computerization of the entire process of payment and management of meals and extracurricular activities, through the use of electronic cards and kiosks to be installed, one in each school group.
These kiosks appear as an alternative to using the portal, allowing you to upload, balance inquiries, schedules, bookings, deselections and access other useful information.
With the new system, Câmara de Aveiro intends to streamline procedures, reducing the circulation of money in educational establishments and preventing parents from having to travel and school groups to perform certain tasks.
