Autodesk announced a new social network online for civil engineers around the world. The initiative is called Civil Engineering Community and aims to form a meeting point where all users who fall into this target can exchange suggestions, ideas, files and share knowledge with each other.
Divided into seven distinct areas, the community includes the Tips and Training space – reserved for advice and training for different civil engineers where experiences about the use of computer programs or other materials can be shared – and Content Sharing – where project files can be downloaded , plants and other documents placed online by subscribers.
Added to these are the areas of Blogs – where users can dialogue directly with each other -, Discussion – discussion forums where the various Autodesk solutions for Civil Engineering and other subjects within the area are addressed -, Online Resources – where sources are published information for the community -, My Network – where it is possible to access the network of contacts of each member – and Events – where all the events dedicated to the sector are present.
To access the service, interested users should consult the site and subscribe, as the service is only available to subscribers.
Autodesk currently has seven million users in a construction-oriented community, manufacturing, infrastructure, digital media and wireless data services.
