Autodesk announces acquisition of Compass for 13 million euros

Autodesk has announced that it will acquire the assets of Compass systems GmbH, a European data management solutions company aimed at the manufacturing sector. The deal involves a budget of 13 million euros and is expected to complement Autodesk’s portfolio in this area, especially in the small and medium business segments.

In a statement, the company explains that Compass has a portfolio of 20,000 users from 1,800 manufacturing companies. Autodesk says it will continue to market Compass solutions in the European market, as well as support the company’s customers.

The same document points to March as the expected date of completion of the deal. Autodesk ended 2004 with a turnover of 952 million euros. The technology company employs 3,437 people and is represented in 33 countries through 87 offices, working with the engineering departments with responsibility in the design of products.
