Google now allows you to automatically delete your YouTube history on your phone. The privacy feature, which was already available for location and activity history, can be activated in the video service as of this Wednesday (2). When configuring the function, old information older than three or 18 months is erased instantly. Subsequently, activities that reach the selected deadline will be removed automatically, without the user having to worry about repeating the process.

Step 1. Visit the YouTube activity tracking page (myaccount.google.com/activitycontrols/youtube) and, if necessary, log in to your account. Then tap on «Manage history»;

Step 2. On the next page, tap «Select to automatically delete». Then choose the period for which you would like to keep the history – three or 18 months. Once this is done, tap «Next»;

Step 3. Google will display some examples of activities that are longer than the selected period that will be deleted. Touch «Confirm» to delete the data and, finally, press «OK» to finish the configuration.
