Attention, developers: all app updates should support iPhone X starting in July

We had already warned you in February that Apple was starting its process to make all apps available on the App Store compatible with the peculiar weird screen and resolution of the iPhone X.

The first step was, as of April, to no longer accept the submission of new applications that did not support the new device's resolution or that were not created using the iOS 11 SDK. Now, Ma is warning its thriving developer community that, very soon, the same rule will also apply to updates.

Starting in July, all updates to existing apps will have to obey the same rules, which will bring a series of positive side effects to the App Store: as they are created in the iOS 11 SDK, updates will come with minimal support to all of the company's latest technologies, such as ARKit, CoreML, the new SiriKit skills, integration with Apple Music and drag / drop support on the iPad.

Developers, start your machines!
