Guide to the Law of Copyright in the Information Society is the most recent member of the New Technologies Law collection, edited by Centro Atlântico, and deals with the current theme of copyright protection applied to digital and cyberspace, interpreting and noting the Law 50/2004, of 24 August, the first Portuguese Copyright Law in the Digital Era, the result of a mandatory transposition of a Community directive.
With 240 pages, the Copyright Law Guide in the Information Society was written by Manuel Lopes Rocha, Ana Margarida Marques and André Lencastre Bernardo – recognized names in the field of law – and Henrique Carreiro, a professional in the area of technologies.
«A law is a living body, it has to be interpreted, studied, looking for many meanings, for many intertextual readings, from different angles of analysis. For this purpose this Guide was prepared», explain the authors of the new Guide, in a statement sent the press.
Centro Atlântico’s new book will arrive at the usual points of sale this week with a retail price of 17.21 euros. In electronic format the title costs 8.60 euros.
