Asus ROG Swift 360Hz: 360Hz gaming monitor designed for e-sports

Now during CES 2020, Asus is finally bringing its 1080p resolution 24.5-inch gamer monitor with 360Hz rate and G-Sync Nvidia technology.

Asus claims that this is the first gamer monitor in the world to have such a refresh rate, 360Hz with G-Sync, and was designed to deliver the best experience for e-sports and competitive games. Before we had 144Hz and 240Hz monitors as standard, now that has changed, but you may be wondering why you would need a 360Hz monitor.

Of course, you will need a powerful GPU to achieve such frame rates where you notice a difference, and you will need to play competitive games like Overwatch or CS: GO to really take advantage of a 360Hz monitor.

The Asus ROG Swift 360Hz Monitor runs at 1080p resolution, which will certainly help with higher frame rates, and Nvidia is including an "advanced G-Sync processor" in the monitor itself.

Asus and Nvidia worked side by side on the monitor to unlock higher frame rates. Nvidia claims that these higher frame rates improve the tracking of targets with smoother animations in games, reduce effects that during gaming hinder the gamer, and even allow gamers to identify enemies faster than before.

Any reduction in latency, even in milliseconds, always makes a big difference in competitive games. This 360Hz monitor displays game boards once every 2.8ms, which can be up to six times faster than a regular monitor or TV.

Nvidia is demonstrating this monitor at CES 2020 this week. Nvidia says that when compared to an ordinary 60Hz monitor, the gain in interactions, especially in shooting games, is up to 37%. So that's why I visit the Lobby so often at PUBG with my monitor that is still LCD.

Unfortunately, we still don't have information about the date and price of the Asus ROG Swift 360Hz.
