Apple signed another deal with the company Genius, focused on media / musical lyrics. The new partnership involves running the series «Verified» (quite popular in the United States) in Apple Music.
In the series, artists explain the meaning behind the lyrics of their hit songs. With the deal, Apple will co-produce new episodes with Genius; they will then debut on Apple Music and, after a while, will also be available on the Genius website and on their YouTube channel.
Genius has produced more than 800 episodes of the series since its debut in 2016 – these old ones, however, should not be offered on Apple Music.
The partnership starts on the platform of streaming with two new episodes (already available): «Mind Is A Prison», by Alec Benjamin, and «CAMP», by Yung Baby Tate. Soon, we will also have episodes with the artists Caroline Polachek, 24KGoldn, Olivia Rodrigo and more.
As we said, this is not the first Apple deal signed with Genius – in 2018, they came together to bring more lyrics to Apple Music.
