Black Friday prices at dawn are lower
Myth.
There is no evidence to show that stores lower prices further during the night.
What happens is that the products with the highest discount usually have limited stock, which makes them run out faster.
Therefore, people look for it in the first hours of promotion.
Cuponomia’s CEO, Antonio Miranda, explains how it works: «Friday morning is when stores release most of the discounts and when there is still a large amount of products in stock.
Usually, the stock of items that are in high demand and are cost-effective tends to sell out quickly, so many consumers stay alert during the night.
»
The phenomenon is also contested by the CEO of Peixe Urbano, Ilson Bressan.
«Usually, people looking for deals at dawn are looking for very competitive products or services, which can end quickly.
Another factor that drives consumers to buy at that time is the flash deals, which many e-commerce do to attract them.

Thus, it is worth mentioning that, although it is a myth that the price of a particular item will be lower after midnight, it may be good to go online during this period if you are looking for a disputed product, such as electronics.

True, but research is needed.
The infamous «Black Fraude» – products for «half the double», with prices inflated days before to appear cheaper on the date of the event – is still practiced by several stores.
Fortunately, this trend is changing, largely thanks to consumer behavior, which has started to monitor the values practiced by retailers so as not to fall into misleading discounts on Black Friday.
There are a number of tips for saving money on purchases.
The main one, as already highlighted, is to monitor prices and create promotions alerts, a tool present in practically all comparators, such as Compare dnetc.
Discount coupon sites can help save extra cash. dnetc Discount Coupons are an option, as are platforms such as Cuponomia, Cuponation, Peixe Urbano and Pelando. «Peixe Urbano, for example, after so many years of Black Friday, has advance planning so as not to run out of coupons and be able to bring the best experiences to our customers», guarantees Ilson Bressan.

3.
It is better to shop online
Half true.
Physical stores also participate in Black Friday, often offering great discounts.
The problem is that, far from comparators and their price histories, it is difficult to discern real offers from misleading ones.
Another advantage of buying online is that there are more store options, since many deliver throughout Brazil with free shipping (or charging low fees).
Major retailers also often offer exclusive promotions on their applications, which makes the web environment ideal for taking advantage of the date.
4.
It is the biggest trade date
Myth.
Black Friday became an extremely important date for Brazilian commerce, moving R $ 2.6 billion in e-commerce only in 2018.
However, the event is still behind Christmas, which reached R $ 9.8 billion in sales online last year, according to the Brazilian Electronic Commerce Association (ABComm).

5.
All products from a participating store are discounted
Myth.
A store that participates in Black Friday is not required to offer discounts on all its products.
In fact, none of them do that.
Promotionally priced items are only those advertised as such; the rest follow normal values.
In fact, this is the main tactic of salespeople to profit on the date: give a discount on a small portion of the stock to attract consumers and then make them spend on full-priced items.
6.
Physical stores are the scene of a fight between consumers
Myth.
Although there have already been fights between customers over Black Friday promotions, the incident is far less frequent than the one advertised in videos that run the Internet.
Much of it shows personal conflicts, most of the times that occurred on dates other than the famous Friday – and yet, most are in the United States.
Those who prefer to make purchases in person can go easy, since the chances of a violent scenario have been unlikely here.
