Chromecast is the product of the year and its engagement with users and developers has filled the internet with hacks and applications that offer new features to the device.
Developed by programmer Koushik Dutta, an Android application plans to bring the ability to stream photos and videos through Chromecast, which is not possible at this time.
Dutta explained that the application uses the preview version of the Google Cast SDK (a software that helps developers create apps for the device) and that it cannot be distributed yet.
Despite the creativity of the developer, the feature is essentially an evolution of the platform and it can be officially launched, by Google itself, in a future update.
