Application simulates 3D images on the iPhone (updated: fake)

Blog do iPhone

Do you remember when we played here with holographic images on the iPhone? Well, now a cartoonist / animator called David OReilly developed an application that visually simulates an animation in 3 dimensions.

Using the technique of anamorphic perspective, widely used in street paintings, the artist used the resources present in the iPod touch (and consequently also on the iPhone) to create a proof of concept, developing an application called iHologram. It is not available to the general public, but David is open to developers who are interested in contributing.

It’s amazing what you can do with the iPhone’s accelerometer, isn’t it? ?

UPDATE: Yes, it is actually not an application but a video running on the touch. As our reader indicated Fábbio Costa, the artist declared today that he had the idea, but does not have enough technical knowledge to carry out the program. As we said, it was just a concept proof (cool we used that word before and now other blogs use it to define iHologram).

The amazing thing was that at a certain moment he touches the screen, how come the iPod controls didn’t appear?
