Applications for the Neotec Program will open tomorrow, with all the information and forms necessary for applicants now available on the website. Neotec is an initiative managed by the Innovation Agency that has 8.8 million euros to support students, recent graduates, teachers and researchers in the creation of technology-based companies until 2006.
The initiative was promoted by UMIC – Knowledge Society Agency and is part of the Action Plan for the Information Society. The objective is to stimulate the creation of new products and services for the market, by supporting the creation of new technology-based companies with high growth potential.
The projects to be supported must consist of three distinct phases, namely the Business Idea, Business Plan and Operationalization of the Idea and Commercialization. According to the evaluation to be carried out, public financing can reach 100 percent of eligible expenses.
