Apple's new retail boss joins Instagram

Even after being promoted to Apple's vice president of people in July 2017, Deirdre OBrien He was not yet a very public figure. Recently, however, with the departure of Angela Ahrendts, she rose to the post of Senior VP of Retail and People. A, things change.

As the new boss of over 500 Apple Stores around the world (not counting online stores), OBrien is now making regular visits to several of them, talking directly to Ma's entire retail staff (how huge) and, inevitably become one of the public faces of the company.

Taking on this new status, the executive opened her own Instagram account yesterday (already properly verified) and started posting photos like this with employees of Apple ifc mall (in Hong Kong), this beautiful image of Apple Cotai Central (in Macao) and another artistic , with the Apple logo reflected in a glass.

In your bio from Instagram, OBrien wrote “Thinking different since 1988” (“Thinking Different Since 1988”), in classic allusion “Think different” from Apple. And yes, she's been there since 1988 (more than three decades); the campaign itself ran from 1997 to 2002.

At the time of writing this post, OBrien is just over 1,500 followers on Instagram. That number is sure to rise rapidly.
