Apple's iOS development program arrives in Recife; CocoaHeads returns to Porto Alegre

If you are a developer (or aspire to be one) from Recife and take a degree course at UFPE (Federal University of Pernambuco), be aware that the enrollments for the BEPiD (Brazilian Education Program for iOS Development, or the Brazilian Development Education Program for iOS) are now open.

If you are creative and want to develop professional and innovative solutions for the iOS platform, sign up to participate in an innovative program in Brazil. UFPE's Computer Center (CIn), in collaboration with Apple, offers a structure with the most modern features so that you can become a developer able to publish in the app store (App Store) and be a future entrepreneur.

Eighty (80) places will be available for the program that will start on March 30, 2015 and end one year later, on March 29, 2016. Selected students will be entitled to receive a monthly scholarship in the amount of R $ 800 . Registration is free and must be done exclusively through the BEPiD / CInUFPE website until 11:59 pm on 11/30 more information in this document (PDF).

Leaving the Northeast and going to the South, due to the success of the first CocoaHeads in Porto Alegre (the enrollment list went over 90 people), the organization has already tried to prepare the second edition of the meeting in the city. The date of the 11/27 event and the location will be the same as the first meeting (hall of the RBS group, inside Tecnopuc).

There, the interested parties will follow two lectures on the experience in building the applications of the RBS group and on the new programming language Swift (entering the functional programming). More information about the event can be found at this link.

Ricardo Rauber, one of the organizers of CocoaHeads and instructor of the Swift course launched by PUCRS on iTunes U, informed us that very soon all classes will be on air with English subtitles and everything, in order to expand the reach of the content .
